PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily measure a number of distortions by using a fiber distortion meter. SOLUTION: A system comprises the fiber distortion meter 13 using an FBG, where the amount of deviation from the reflection center wavelength of the wavelength of reflection light to incident light is changed according to the amount of distortion applied from a measuring target; an optical fiber 12, where each fiber distortion meter is connected via an optical coupler 14; a narrow-band light source 11 for applying measuring light (c) having the pulse waveform of measuring wavelength slightly deviating from the reflection center wavelength from one end of an optical fiber; a characteristic measuring section 24 for measuring Fresnel reflection light characteristics (f) to the measuring light of the optical fiber and the fiber distortion meter; a means 32 for calculating the amount of distortion; and a means 34 for outputting the amount of distortion for outputting each amount of distortion calculated by the means 32 for calculating the amount of distortion. The means 32 for calculating the amount of distortion calculates the amount of distortion applied to each fiber distortion meter from the amount of change from a reference reflection light level in a state, where no distortion is being applied to the fiber distortion meter at the reflection light level of each fiber distortion meter in the Fresnel reflection light characteristics.
