PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect easily and surely the tip position of a resin impregnated into a fiber preform, and to detect accurately the tip position of the resin even if the property of the resin impregnated into the fiber preform is changed. SOLUTION: This resin tip detection sensor 1 is used for detecting the tip position of the resin in the RTM molding for arranging the fiber preform in a mold cavity, injecting the resin and impregnating it into the fiber preform. The sensor comprises a thin substrate 2 having a long and narrow shape, longitudinal electrode parts 4a, 4b formed long in parallel along the longitudinal direction of the thin substrate 2, and a comb-shaped lateral electrode part 5 formed between the parallel longitudinal electrode parts 4a, 4b.
