PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a use of a mono- or diester of cinnamic acid or its derivative and vitamin C for enhancing the production of nitric oxide in or on the skin, mucous membrane or scalp. SOLUTION: The mono- or diester of cinnamic acid or its derivative and vitamin C, particularly ascorbyl 2-O-cinnamate, is used for enhancing the production of nitric oxide in or on the skin, scalp or mucous membrane.
