PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trivalent cerium salt stably existing as trivalent cerium ions in an aqueous solution and the aqueous solution and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The trivalent cerium salt is composed of a reducing organic acid having≥3 coordination sites.
