PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brightness control device of the mobile terminal display which controls a the brightness of the mobile terminal by a measured value obtained by measuring the illumination intensity around the mobile terminal by a camera and its method. SOLUTION: The brightness control device of the mobile terminal display having a camera 10 comprises a control part 20 which senses the illumination intensity around the mobile terminal by driving the camera 10 and decides the level of a sensed illumination intensity and a display part 40 which controls the display brightness of the mobile terminal in accordance with the decided illumination intensity level.
