PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to register the reservations for programs by using a VPS (Video Programme System)/PDC (Programme Delivery Control) signal and to view the TV broadcast programs when within the time window. SOLUTION: The disk recorder, where reservations for recording of a TV broadcast signal having a broadcast start time superposed thereon as teletext data (VPS/PDC signal) are possible, is provided with a channel scan-off means 2a which registers the reservations for recording using the VPS/PDC signal and turns off channel scan within the time window.
