PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication restriction method, a communication restriction system, a restriction signal transmission terminal, and a mobile communication terminal capable of flexibly restricting the use of the mobile communication terminal in response to the state of a surrounding. SOLUTION: The restriction signal transmission terminals R1, R3 and R5 transmit prescribed restriction signals to form restriction areas E1, E3 and E5. On the other hand, the mobile communication terminal A receives the restriction signal and analyzes information included in the restriction signal. The information includes the priority of restrictions imposed on the use of the mobile communication terminal A. A degree of the restriction is calculated on the basis of the analyzed information and the function of the mobile communication terminal is limited. The limit of the function of the mobile communication terminal depends on the restriction priority included in the restriction signal transmitted from each restriction signal transmission terminal and each mobile communication terminal decides its function limitation by taking into account the number of reception times or the like.
