PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for amplifying a nucleic acid with high amplification efficiency and to provide a method for amplifying the nucleic acid. SOLUTION: There are provided a flow channel where a reaction liquid comprising a sample containing the nucleic acid and a reagent mixed with the sample flows, a flow channel branching part branching the flow channel into a plurality of branched flow channels, a joining part where the plurality of branched flow channels join and a joined flow channel where the joined reaction liquid is led.
