PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which carries out a precise surface treatment to a discharge opening face without affecting the interior of discharge openings in the case of carrying out a desired surface treatment to the discharge opening face of a liquid discharging head. SOLUTION: In a state in which a liquid including a medium material is kept in touch with an assembly with the discharge opening face obtained in a process of manufacturing the liquid discharging head, light irradiation is carried out, thereby substituting atoms and atomic groups between a material which composes the discharge opening face and the medium material.
