The fixed roof structure has a front fixing device (12) and a rear fixing device (14) for attachment of a central roof console attached to the underside of the roof. The fixing devices are arranged on front and rear underside transverse members. The central console may support a flat image display screen, a TV set, a radio set, and other equipment for use by passengers.
