A voltage-fed current inverter (1) in a half bridge circuit has two electronic switches (T1,T2), e.g. insulated gate bipolar transistors. A control electrode for the switches links to a triggering unit (2) and controls the times for switching the switches on and off. Recovery diodes (D1,D2) connect parallel to a break in each switch. A passive capacitor branch has capacitors (CBr1,CBr2).
