PURPOSE: A radio frequency identification equipment and a radio frequency identification tag having a security function are provided to apply security and authentication functions to an RFID tag. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting module(231) transmits carrier waves to a non-contact RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag(100). A receiving module(232) receives sub-carrier waves returned from the RFID tag(100). An encryption module(300) receives a tag unique code fixed in the RFID tag(100) for generating an authentication cipher for a tag based on the tag unique code and a predetermined user master key code. A central processing unit(210) controls the transmitting module(231), the receiving module(232), and the encryption module(300). The central processing unit(210) transmits the authentication cipher for a tag to the RFID tag(100) through the transmitting module(231) to record the authentication cipher for a tag at an authentication area of a memory of the RFID tag(100).
