The method for the influencing of the drain of operating medium from the power circuit of a hydrodynamic clutch has a means for influencing the drain which is controllable in dependence upon a value defining the regulating pressure ratios depending upon the filling level of the hydrodynamic clutch and the occurring relative speed between the clutch's primary turbine wheel (2) and secondary turbine wheel. Upon achieving a defined magnitude of the value characterizing the pressure ratios, the drain from the power circuit or from the clutch shell (5). An independent claim is included for a hydrodynamic clutch in which the method for the influencing of the drain operating medium from the power circuit is put into effect.
