METHOD FOR IMPROVING ION CONDUCTIVITY OF POLYMERIC MEMBRANE FOR POLYMER ELECTROLYTE-BASED FUEL CELL BY POLING PROCESS
摘要
PURPOSE: A method for improving ion conductivity of a solid polymeric membrane having conductivity lower than that of a liquid electrolyte is provided to obtain a high conductivity sufficient to be used in fuel cells, secondary batteries and capacitors. CONSTITUTION: The method for improving ion conductivity of a polymeric electrolyte membrane for use in a polymeric electrolyte-based fuel cell comprises applying a strong electric field to a membrane having an electric moment therein from outside to change the molecular orientation inside of the membrane, through a poling process. The electric field has strength of 5-20 kV/cm and the poling process is carried out for 30-90 minutes.
