Adjusting power in an adjusting device (AD) (50) for a braking device (44) on towed equipment (TE) alters through a signal from a sensor (66) that uses a control device (46) to act on the AD and detects the speed/position/adjusting power as components in the TE operate. Another sensor detects the operation and/or driving status of a towing vehicle (12), e.g. a farm tractor, that tows the TE.
