The handle has a support (10) fixed on the inside of the door with spring-loaded resetting lever (11). A handle (20) is fitted from the outside of the door into the support and the bearing points (26) on the handle side are spaced from the counter bearing points on the support side whilst a resilient clip (30) is mounted in the region of these bearing points. In the maintenance position of the resetting lever and after the mounting action is completed the clip is located between the bearing points whilst in the end position of the resetting lever the clip engages with keyed engagement with parts (27) on the attachment (23) of the handle or on the resetting lever. The clip has a spring arm with locking head at the end.
