PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for obtaining filtered water by installing a channel formed of screen at a river, waterway and drainpipe in which polluted river water, rainwater and foul water flow, thereby continuously separating miscellaneous materials and solids contained in water without power. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a "U" character shaped screen channel (2) fabricated using a perforated screen (1) and installed on the upper surface of a filtered water catchment structure (3) on which manhole (8), filtered water overflow holes (10) and discharge pipe (9) are formed, wherein the screen of the screen channel is formed of a bar type screen fabricated of bar and a sheet type screen fabricated in a sheet shape using lattice mesh, perforated mesh and steel sheet mesh, wherein the screen channel consists of a channel of which three surfaces are formed of screen, and in which the screen itself is the channel, a channel of which two surfaces are formed of screen, and one surface is formed of concrete, and a channel of which one surface is formed of screen, in which an overflow space is formed in an upper part of the side surface of drainpipe so that the screen is attached to the overflow space, and wherein the filtered water catchment structure is also used as a purification device by filling filtering materials such as sand and gravel in the filtered water catchment structure.
