PURPOSE: A mobile terminal having a mobile Internet service platform using a java accelerating chip and a graphic accelerating method using the same are provided to enhance a graphic function by utilizing a java accelerating chip for accelerating a 2D/3D graphic and multimedia application program. CONSTITUTION: A mobile Internet service platform of a mobile terminal drives a service platform layer module(S101). A java accelerating chip is initialized and an image is loaded to a micro-execution region of the java accelerating chip(S102). Contents is stored in a memory(S103) and an address of the stored contents, a control right and an IRQ(Interrupt Request) are transmitted to a java accelerating chip processor(S104). The java accelerating chip reads and executes the contents(S105). When an event occurs in a host while the contents is being executed(S106), the java accelerating chip processor stops the execution and transfers the control right to the modem chip processor(S108). The modem chip processor executes the event(S109). When the event is completely executed, the modem chip processor determines whether the contents execution in the java accelerating processor is completed(S110).
