Device for data header processing in a satellite communication network

The device has a processing module receiving data frame packets from a router and destined to another router. The routers are coupled to respective satellite terminals (ST1,ST2). The module encapsulates the packets received at a transmission protocol header with an identifier of a logic bus coupled to the terminal (ST2) and a communication identifier of the terminal (ST1) before transmitting to a communication satellite. The satellite terminals of a satellite communications network are coupled to the communication satellite of the network by a satellite link that defines the logic bus designated by the identifier. Independent claims are also included for the following: - (1) a satellite terminal including a data frames processing device (2) a communication installation equipped with a communication satellite.
