POWER AMPLIFIER, ESPECIALLY IMPROVING POWER CONSUMPTION EFFICIENCY

PURPOSE: A power amplifier is provided to control a maximum output and maximum efficient impedance by connecting impedance matching units to an input terminal and an output terminal of a low-output amplifier. CONSTITUTION: A low-output amplifier(12) and a high-output amplifier(11) are used for amplifying RF input signals. A first power supply is used for driving the low-output amplifier. A second power supply is used for driving selectively the high-output amplifier. A common input impedance matching circuit(16) is used for outputting the received RF signals to the low-output amplifier and the high-output amplifier. A common output impedance matching circuit(19) is used for outputting the amplified RF signals. An output impedance matching circuit(18) is used for converting an output voltage of the low-output amplifier into a value corresponding output voltage of the high-output amplifier. An input impedance matching circuit(17) is used for compensating phase transition of the output impedance matching circuit.
