A process for the surface modification of a dental article formed by a polymer material obtained by the polymerization of at least a cycloolefin, comprises applying a graft polymerization initiator over the surface of the dental article, supplying a reactive monomer onto the coated surface of the article, and then subjecting the coat to graft photopolymerization.
