The electric coupling is used for connecting electrical current from a current source to a user object and comprises a fixed part and a removable part. The fixed part comprises two insulating, physically separate first and second parts, the first of which is connected with the current source and the second is connected with the user object. At least one of the two parts is electrically coupled in situ. - The coupling is three phase and comprises at least one of the following components: a mechanically operated switch, an electrically operated switch, a fuse, an automatic fuse and a melting fuse. Three input current rails conduct three-phase current and there is a neutral conduit. The current rails are powerfully dimensioned and can consist of wholly drawn copper for carrying currents up to 3000 amperes or more. A plinth has a first part which is coupled to the current rails via flat cables using screw unions. The plinth first part has three or four input contacts for three-phase alternating current. These contacts are connected with contact springs located in three holes. |
