The adjusting unit has a spiral section (2) with an outer spire (7) having a rigidified portion (8) to make approximately concentric spire deformation. A space (d) between a terminal part of the outer spire and a front-back spire (9) of the section is large such that the front-back spire remains radially free during an expansion of the section up to amplitude corresponding to a maximum rotation angle of a balance wheel (1). Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a clock piece having clockwork adjusting unit (b) a method of conception of a clockwork adjusting unit.
