PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling output current in auxiliary power device for automotive vehicle is provided to achieve an improved reliability of the apparatus while restricting the output current to a predetermined level without shielding off the output of the device upon occurrence of overcurrent of loading. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a proportional control unit(10) for protecting a system upon the excessive change of current output from an auxiliary power device for automotive vehicle and outputting a variance of the output current so as to lower an output voltage reference value of the device, an integral control unit(20) for decreasing the output voltage reference value to maintain the output current at a predetermined limit level and increasing the output voltage reference value back to normality when loading is cut off, and an output voltage varying unit(30) for varying an output voltage reference value of the auxiliary power device in accordance with the variance of the output current and a variance between an actual output current and a reference limit current and outputting a comparative value between the varied output voltage and an actual output voltage so as to trip a breaker and restore the device back to normal state.
