PURPOSE: A method for successively deleting data in a mobile terminal is provided to allow a user to successively perform a process of selectively deleting message data or image data by using an up/down scroll button. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal outputs a data list on an LCD of a mobile terminal(401). With a cursor positioned on certain data, a select button signal is received and content of the corresponding data is outputted to the LCD(402). A signal is received through a key pad and a type of the received signal is determined(403). If the received signal is an up/down scroll signal, content of previous/next data is outputted to the LCD(404). If the received signal is a deletion request signal, the corresponding data is deleted and content of the next data is outputted to the LCD(405). If the received signal is a signal requesting to return to a message list, a data list reflecting the deletion result is outputted to the LCD(406).
