[Class 108 (iii).] Supports for meters and other apparatus are subjected to shear and consist of rods 1, Figs. 2 and 3, of indiarubber formed with flanges 2, 3 which are gripped between discs 4, 12 and plates 9,15 by bolts 7,16. The plate 9 is in two parts with flanges 11 and between the plate and the rubber flange 3 are interposed segments 8 having their junction at right-angles to that of the segments 9. Similar segmental plates 14, 15 co-operate with the flanged disc 12 to grip the rubber flange 2. The disc 4 may be fastened to a wall 6, the flanged disc 12 being attached to the meter casing or other element by a nut 19.
