Crane ballasting device

The device has a gripper (2) for handling stackable ballast blocks (3), and a connecting unit placed between the gripper and a block. The unit has two opposite gripping hooks assembled in region of ends of a swing bar of the gripper and cooperates with transverse axis of the block. A back part of each hook is attached to a sling by which the gripper is suspended at a hoisting cable, where each hook is associated to a bolt.
