The electromagnetic trigger has a coil (2) and an armature (4). A pin (5) is moveable within the coil and cooperates with the armature. A magnet yoke (3) is electrically connected to the coil. The pin is guided through or past the yoke. A spring (6) exerts a force on the armature. The armature has an armature leg outside of the coil. This cooperates with a yoke leg which is also outside the coil.
