PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for displaying an object in a TV are provided to selectively display the object selected by a user according to the request of the user. CONSTITUTION: The first memory(500) stores an object selected by a user through a user interface(300). If the user inputs a picture stop command through the user interface, the second memory(600) stores a digital image signal outputted from an ADC(Analog to Digital Converter)(200). If the user selects an object expansion menu through the user interface, a microcomputer(400) judges whether an object same with the object stored in the first memory exists from an inputted image signal and controls the same object so that an object expansion picture is displayed according to the request of the user. An image processing unit(700) processes the inputted image signal as a signal capable of being displayed on screen according to the control signal of the microcomputer.
