The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a membrane filter, comprising the steps of: - fixing a bundle of hydrophilic filter elements by at least a first end in a housing part to be called bottom element, such that the first end of the hydrophilic filter elements is open towards a first side of the housing part and the hydrophilic filter elements extend on the the opposite side of the housing part; and - subsequently providing for at least one watertight and air-permeable element, in particular a hydrophobic filter element.
