PURPOSE: An opening and shutting valve for a branch pipe is provided to open and shut the flow of water by turning the valve to a flowing direction without an opening and shutting handle, to facilitate the opening and shutting of the flow of water, and to increase flux. CONSTITUTION: An opening and shutting valve for a branch pipe comprises a fixed flange(10) having a fastening part(11) to be fastened to the periphery of a water pipe; a rotating flange(20) rotatably mounted to the fixed flange; an opening and shutting part(30) opening and shutting the flow of water by the rotation of the rotating flange; and a branch pipe-fixing part(40) arranged to the upper part of the rotating flange to fix the branch pipe.
