PURPOSE: A method for preparing ceramics for fomentation is provided to form a pack for fomentation which emits a great amount of far infrared rays, absorbs microwaves from a microwave oven for heat emission, is easily and safely handled and maintains heat emission for a long time. CONSTITUTION: The method for preparing ceramics for fomentation comprises the steps of: mixing 62-73 wt% of SiO2, 8-24 wt% of Al2O3, 3-11 wt% of K2O3, 1-6 wt% of CaO and 0-3 wt% of MgO as powdery base materials; adding one or two selected from SO3, Na2O and Fe2O3 powder thereto in a small amount as a binder; forming the mixture into spherical bodies having a diameter of 3-7 mm; drying the spherical bodies at room temperature naturally; and firing the dried product by using an alumina crucible in an electric furnace at 1100-1200 deg.C.
