PURPOSE: A tilt control method of a recordable optical recording medium is provided to control a tilt on a disk inner circumference, in a final data recording position of a disk, and on a disk outer circumference when a recording command is inputted right after a disk is inserted, and to immediately perform a data recording process. CONSTITUTION: When a disk is inserted into a drive(401), a system turns on a focus servo and a tracking servo(402). If data is recorded on the disk, the system confirms a data capacity to determine a control position of a tilt(403). The system controls the tilt in the control position, and stores the controlled tilt in a memory(404). If a recording command is immediately inputted(405), the system controls the tilt in a final data recording position and a tilt control position of a lead-out area, and stores the controlled tilt in the memory(406). The system performs a data recording process(407), and decides whether a tilt value of the tilt control position is stored in the memory(408). If so, the system reads the tilt value from the memory to record the data while controlling the tilt(409).
