PURPOSE: Provided are a high-output piezoelectric ceramics based on PNW-PMN-PZT, which has high strength and improved piezoelectric characteristics including quality coefficient, dielectric constant and grain size. CONSTITUTION: The piezoelectric ceramics comprise the composition of (Pb0.94Sr0.06)£(Ni1/2W1/2)0.02(Mn1/3Nb2/3)0.07(Zr0.51Ti0.49)0.91|O3 + 0.5 wt% of PbO + 0.3 wt% of Fe2O3 + 0.25 wt% of CeO2, to which Nb2O5 is added as an additive. The additive, Nb2O5 is added in an amount of 0.1-0.5 wt%, preferably in the amount of 0.3 wt%. The piezoelectric ceramics provide a piezoelectric transformer, particularly for use in PDAs, having excellent piezoelectric characteristics.
