SCANNER ATTACHING DEVICE, SPECIALLY CORRELATED TO INTEGRATING A BASE DEVICE WITH A SCANNER DEVICE IN PARALLEL, AND DETACHABLY USING THE SCANNER DEVICE AS A HANDY SCANNER

PURPOSE: A scanner attaching device is provided to integrate a base device with a scanner device such that the integrated base device and the scanner device can independently operate while simply separating the scanner device from the base device, thereby increasing device usability. CONSTITUTION: A reading unit(1) consists of a pick roller(10) and a feed roller(11), and is rotatively driven by a driving motor(8) via each driving gearing train(9). Papers(12) are separated one by one by the pick roller(10) and a paper separating member(13), and the separated papers(12) are discharged downward. The discharged papers are detected by a paper detecting sensor(14) to prepare for a reading process. When a paper front is detected by a paper front and rear detecting sensor(15), an image reading is started. If the sensor(15) detects a rear end of the papers(12), the image reading is completed. The feed roller(11) and a following roller(16) discharge the read papers(12) toward a scanner discharge paper guide(17).
