Combinations of immunostimulatory oligonucleotides (CpG), saponin and optionally lipopolysaccharides as potent vaccine adjuvants

Adjuvant formulations for use with cancer antigens are provided. The adjuvant comprises a saponin and an immunostimulatory oligonucleotide. Experimental results show that an adjuvant comprising a CpG oligonucleotide and a formulation comprising SD-MPL and QS21 synergistically enhances tumour regression.
