<p>A system and method for providing a message on the graphic display of a wireless device (12) while the wireless device (12) is connecting to an application download server (16) across a wireless network (14). When the wireless device (12) attempts to communicate with an application download server (16) or changes files while navigating an application download server (16), a message is transmitted across the wireless network (14) to the computer platform of the wireless device (12) and displayed to the user of the wireless device (12). The message can be transmitted to the wireless device (12) from the same application download server (16) that the wireless device (12) is attempting to connect to or navigate, or alternately, the message can be transmitted from another server on the wireless network (14).</p> |
