Steered wheel angle sensor using hydraulic flow to steering cylinder

The apparatus consists of steering cylinder 18 with shafts 16 to steer the wheels 12A, 12B, a steering valve 20, a pump 22 and an angle sensor 28. The sensor 28 has a hydraulic motor (not shown) located in the circuit between the cylinder 18 and the valve 20 and having a power shaft (not shown), and a pair of sensors (not shown) to determine direction of rotation and hence the angular steering position of the wheels.
