PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump capable of easily constructing a seal structure of an opening position of a steam discharging passage via a pulley, securing stable sealing action, and reducing cost without increasing parts count. SOLUTION: A pump housing A having a void chamber 3 formed between a pump chamber 1 and a bearing chamber 2, the steam discharging passage 5 formed in an upper part of the void chamber 3, and a water drain passage 4 formed in a lower part thereof, and a cup shaped pulley B are provided. An inner circumference side surface 13a of the pulley B covers the steam discharging passage 5.
