PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To understandably display the set states of various functions on the display part of the operating device of a toilet device. SOLUTION: This operating device for the toilet comprises a display part 2 formed of a display 11 and function setting switches 3 and 4 having self-light emitting elements (organic EL elements) fitted to a substrate 12 and a cover plate 13 opaque and having light transmitting properties, covering the front face of the substrate 12, and in which through-holes 13a for inserting the function set switches 3 and 4 therein are formed and a control part capable of displaying, by emitting light, the state of the toilet device set based on the operations of the function set switches 3 and 4 on the display 11, the light emitting part of the operating device can be used for illumination, the switches and display part can be disposed on one cover plate in proximity to each other, and an easy-to-handle operating device can be provided.
