PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire fabric whose selvages are not curled, bent and the like due to a softening processing and which has a stable quality, especially the tire fabric which can correspond to the recent mechanization and automation of tire-producing processes and has a more stable quality than the qualities of conventional tire fabrics. SOLUTION: This tire fabric produced by weaving two ply yarns paralleled at a prescribed distance as warps with wefts arranged at a relatively large distance is characterized in that only the warps in the selvage portions comprise three ply yarns. Since the selvage portions are formed by combining cords having cord structures different from those of the warp cords in the portions except the selvage portions, the tire fabric prevents the forms of the selvage portions, is free from curling and bending, and has good flatness.
