PURPOSE: A method and a system for offering encyclopedia information through the Internet are provided to offer an information search service by receiving specialized knowledge from a user and sharing it with many encyclopedia information users. CONSTITUTION: An interface(402) transmits/receives data with a user terminal(401). An encyclopedia database(409) classifies/stores keywords and explanation data for the keyword by each directory. A user information database(408) stores user information. A title database(407) classifies/stores titles. A database manager(406) manages the databases. A central processing part(404) controls inspection by analyzing the data inputted from the user terminal and transmitting the inputted data to an inspection system(411). A controller(403) controls the database manager. A linker(405) transmits/receives the data with other system(412).
