<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint, provided with a stopper mechanism 12 comprising a sleeve 9 between a joint main body 1 and a pipe P, and a stopper ball 11 held by it for moving the sleeve 9 axially outward to press the stopper ball 11 to an outer surface of the pipe P by a taper surface 3a that is larger on the depth side formed in an inner surface of the joint main body 1 for stopping the pipe P from getting out, in which all the stopper balls 11 can be securely pressed to the outer surface of the pipe P by partial axial move of the sleeve 9 even when the whole sleeve 9 is not stably mounted due to distortion in the pipe P, for example, so as to improve joint effect to the pipe P. <P>SOLUTION: This pipe joint is provided with the stopper mechanism 12 comprising the sleeve 9 and the stopper ball 11 disposed between the joint main body 1 and the pipe P, so that the sleeve 9 is moved axially outward to press the stopper ball 11 to the outer surface of the pipe P by the taper surface 3a that is larger on the depth side formed in the inner surface of the joint main body 1.
