<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for automatically calculating the amount of energy cut estimated by computerization of information and the result of the energy cut based on printing of computerized information and indexing the calculation result. <P>SOLUTION: This network system comprises a server, a terminal and a printer. In this system, the number of characters of electronic information registered in the server is counted and converted to the number of papers for every distribution destination of the electronic information. A signal for printing instruction from the terminal of the delivery destination is received by the server, the actual cut number of papers is calculated in real time by subtracting the cut number of papers calculated by the above paper number conversion from the printing number instructed by the signal, and the timely calculation result is displayed as an index 102 on the screen 100 of the terminal of the delivery destination.
