PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent polymeric gel electrolyte composition with excellent ion conductivity and heat resistant property useful for an electrochemical device like a gel electrolyte type lithium ion polymer secondary battery, an electric double layer capacitor, or an electrochromic display device. SOLUTION: The polymeric gel electrolyte composition has a semi-IPN type gel structure containing an lnterlinking polymer network matrix having a three dimensional interlinking structure holding an electrolyte solution in nonaqueous solvent.
