PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To providing a proper meaning of a technical term even in case of a technical term to be used has meanings differed depending of each group or each person. SOLUTION: This term retrieval device 1 comprises a former determination means 2, a dictionary selection means 3, and a dictionary retrieval means 5. The former determination means 2 determines, based on a transmitter mail address of a text including a term to be retrieved, the text being received through a network, the former of the text. The dictionary selection means 3 selects, based on the determination result of the former, dictionary data to be used from a plurality of dictionary data registering information for illustrating the meaning of the term, which are formed by formers.
