PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a consumption of a resource to the minimum to stabilize and make nimble an operation of a computer. SOLUTION: In this launcher displaying method, a CPU 5 detects push-down in any of buttons 9a-9f to start up an application program corresponding to the button, under the condition where a launcher is displayed on a screen, brings the launcher into a nondisplay condition to release the resource concerned in the display of the launcher, and displays the launcher on the screen when the CPU 5 bringing the launcher into the nondisplay condition detects the finish of the started-up application program.
