PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data sharing method and a disk controller that are suitable for the execution of an application for processing a large amount of data in a remote computer, in a database system or the like. SOLUTION: A disk controller 30A has a management table 35A indicating relations between identifiers of remote disks, identifiers of remote disk controllers and control information on command transfer to the remote disk controllers, in connection with identifiers of disks used by a host device 10A; and when receiving a command to write data into a specific disk from the host computer, according to the command transfer control information on the specific disk indicated by the management table, controls the execution of the writing command to the specific disk and the transfer of the writing command to a remote disk controller 30B.
