PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease sealing defects, to improve manufacturing efficiency and to reduce a manufacturing cost by stabilizing a sealing state in a panel sealing process of sealing the aperture of an electro-optic panel. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the electro-optic device is so constituted that the panel sealing process has an electro-optic material wiping-out stage D for wiping out the electro-optic material overflowing from the aperture in the state of pressurizing the electro-optic panel under P2, a sealing material coating application stage E of applying the sealing material to the aperture, and a reduced pressure holding stage G of holding the pressurizing force of the electro-optic panel by reducing the pressure down to P3. The electro-optic material wiping-out stage D, the sealing material coating application stage E and the reduced pressure holding stage G are so set that these stages are always continuously executed, that the sealing material coating application is executed after the specified time from the completion of the electro-optic material wiping-out stage and that the pressure reduction is started after the specified time from the coating application of the sealing material.
