PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a protection ratio to the tip of an optical fiber in an optical connector provided with a spring for making the tip face of the optical fiber adjacent to an optical element as close as possible. SOLUTION: To an optical connector plug, a spring for elastically deflecting the tip face of a ferrule toward a through-hole formed in a plug body, a locking tool for receiving the deflecting force generated by the spring in the non-inserted state of the plug body into the receptacle, and preventing the ferrule from moving to the through-hole and locking the tip face of the ferrule at an internal position of the plug body, and an unlocking means which is formed on the locking tool and engaged with a member of the receptacle side when the plug body is fitted in the receptacle, and releases the locked state of the locking tool by the engagement, are added.
